Spring Turkey Hunts

Nebraska’s Merriam, Rio, Eastern, and Hybrid turkey populations have risen, quadrupling their numbers since 2002 according to a newsletter provided from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission in 2009. Nebraska has become a go to state for trophy class turkey hunting. In 2010, Heartland Pride Outfitters averaged two Toms per hunter, most three, the entire season for all hunters. Best fact about those statistics is that we don’t foresee a slowdown in sight! You as a client have a choice to hunt either guided or semi-guided hunts, with archery or shotgun equipment (crossbows legal), and we work together with you to put you on the birds. Each hunter is allowed to take 3 long bearded gobblers or bearded hens in the spring with the appropriate permits and we can mix and match you to get the species that you are looking for. We will work with you to customize your hunt package to fit your dreams and needs. With Heartland Pride Outfitters, LLC, you have the choice to pursue pure blooded Merriam’s, Rio’s, or Hybrid Turkeys. Please specify while booking with us.

Merriam/Rio Combination Hunts:
One great thing about being a versatile hunting outfitter in Nebraska is that we can pursue and harvest both Merriam’s and Rio’s in one hunting trip. Two species, two ranches, six days, one hunting trip, one outfitter=Grand Slam Success. Semi-Guided Turkey Hunts

Being provided with a direction and a property map, our Semi-Guided Turkey Hunts are for the D.I.Y. (do it yourself) hunter who loves challenging themselves to the open country of Nebraska. Our land is unique and unless you have hunted in a rolling country state prior to your hunt, we suggest a guided hunt. These semi-guided hunts are only for the Hybrid species of turkey and do not include meals.

Heartland Pride Outfitters, LLC offers Trophy Whitetail Hunts for Archery, Muzzleloader, or Rifle Seasons. Our Ranches are filled with corn, alfalfa, soybean and milo fields as well as various strategically placed food plots all of which build large bodied and antlered deer. Nebraska is considered one of the nations sleeper states for deer hunting and we really do have it all. We ask our hunters to hold out for deer bigger than 135" class or 4 years of age and older because we know this is absolutely available to our clients. Our Quality Deer Management Program helps us to provide excellent trophy quality on all of our animals year after year.
